KOTTAYAM BRAHMANA SAMOOHAM, formerly known as Malamelkavu Kizhakkumbagam Samooham, is a Religious Charitable Institution conceived and created by an association of Tamil Brahmins migrated from other regions and settled in Kottayam centuries ago.

During the early period, the Samooham could procure needed land and properties thanks to a benevolent Royal initiative.

After the implementation of the Kerala Land Reforms Act 1963, some of the properties owned by the Samooham were taken over by Government.

Presiding Diety of the Samooham is Lord Ayyappa and are performing daily poojas for the overall welfare of the society.

As part of the charitable pursuits, the Samooham is also providing accommodation and annadanam to Ayyappa devotees during pilgrimage season.

Besides, the Samooham is also providing facilitates to conduct rituals, Marriage Ceremonies, Upanayanams, Sathabhishekams, etc for Brahmin community as also to the followers of sanathana dharma.
